The original recipe was modified by me...here's the final product that turned out great!
Orange Marmalade Bread Pudding
Butter or cooking spray
6 to 7 cups white or egg bread, cut into cubes (believe it or not, I used hot dog buns!)
1 small jar orange marmalade
1 cup whole milk1 cup half & half (or 3tbsp butter and enough milk to make 1 cup)
1/2 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 tablespoon Grand Marnier
Handful of pecans pieces (or any other nut)
Coat bottom and sides of dish with butter or cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350. Place bread cubes in dish. Pour marmalade over bread and stir to combine. In bowl, whisk together milk, half & half, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and Grand Marnier. Pour mixture over bread. Let stand about 20 mins to absorb. Cook at 350 for 40 to 45 mins or until puffed up and fully cooked in center. Serve warm topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or topping. Serves 8.
ENJOY!!!
